OMG! Scream #1. I can hardly believe I gave myself permission to procrastinate on writing in my personal blog posts for so long! Horror of horrors! What was I thinking? FIVE months since the last one? Shame on me! But my excuse is really a good one {you may have heard it before or even used it yourself!} I’ve been busy …. busy living life, instead of recording life’s activities. Never been one for spectator sports – get me in the game as a participant – the thrill of giving it my best shot on the playing field! But I HAVE been legitimately creating stuff – writing in my business blog at getsuperhealthy.com Adding pages, beefing up the content and posting in THAT blog!
Of course many of you are probably grateful for the break from my crazy, boring and ho-hum personal entries in Anthea’s Anthology – entries that may only be interesting to me {and perhaps a few of my loyal family followers!} Suffice it to say I’m baaaaack! Scream #2. I hear your pain!
And I’m back after hearing a great message at church today {a topic for another blog} which reminded me how short life is and how important and valuable it is to live in the moment! So that might also mean writing about life’s little experiences in the moment too, right? While they’re fresh in my mind, and while I am still able {by the grace of God} to remember what actually took place a moment ago.
So what happened? A new “Chuck-ism” was uttered! Something that frequently occurs at Tripp Towers. My amazing hubby deliberately mixes up his words in a crazy and often funny manner that makes me laugh. {Listen! When all the kids leave home, you have to find another source of amusement!} Don’t be fooled by his serious exterior. He’s killer crazy at times! Scream #3. He’s got this wild, weird and wacky sense of humor – albeit sometimes on the dark side. With Halloween week and fright night coming, he inspired {horrified} me into creating the graphic below. Hope it makes you smile {or scream!}
Here’s how it started. On the way home from church, we stopped at the grocery store and he got a Starbuck’s Venti Mocha. Mind you, he doesn’t drink coffee – it’s all about the hot chocolate for him!!!
Anyway, as we drove into the garage I’m ready for breakfast:
Anthea: “Honey, what can I fix you for breakfast?
Chuck: “Not much since I filled up on the Starbucks. Something light like oatmeal or cream of wheat…..”
Anthea: “Okay you pick one and I’ll fix it”
Chuck: “SCREAM of Wheat”
I leapt out of my skin! Now you know the origins of the Scream #4!
Perfect start for the coming fright week, don’t you think?
After reading this post, I feel like I can definitely trust you.
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙂
